Church Picnic, 2017
More than 40 members of our church family gathered at Joan and Nevin's camp on September 10th for a potluck picnic, fellowship, games and fun.
We shared some delicious food and caught up with friends after summer. The children made moss gardens, and we walked to the pond to feed the fish. The weather was wonderful and we all had a great time! If you weren't able to join us, we missed you and look forward to seeing you at next years picnic!!

Summer Mission Trip, 2017
A joint team of youth and adults from Trinity and St. John's UCC traveled to Washington, DC the first week of August to work with the Youth Service Opportunities Project (YSOP). We formed three service teams, and each team worked at a different service location each day. We sorted donations of furniture and household goods, cooked and served meals in several homeless shelters, helped sort and distribute grocery donations, did much needed yard work for senior citizens enrolled in an "Aging in Place" program. Throughout the week, we learned that homelessness has many causes and very often, the people experiencing extreme poverty are not very different from us. Our youth were wonderful, compassionate, hard workers this week, and we are already looking for new service opportunities for next summer!
Spring Snow 2017
Like many parts of the country this winter, we enjoyed an early taste of spring. But that all changed one day in April when we awoke to a fresh coating of spring snow! I hurried out to catch a few shots of the church before the quickly clearing sky and sunshine erased the beauty of the moment. Enjoy!

Valentine's Banquet
February 12, 2017
We had a wonderful time at the annual Valentine's Banquet this year, with close to 70 folks in attendance. The spaghetti was delicious, as usual...thanks to the Stover family for doing such a wonderful job. Our photo booth was back in place and we have some wonderful Valentine's photos of our church family. We also hosted our own version of the "Newlywed" game this year (ok...maybe it was really the "Oldly-wed game"!) Congratulations to Dot and Larry Strickler for showing that 50 years of marriage still feels like a honeymoon!
Christmas Caroling
We had a great group of intrepid carolers who braved the cold temperatures to spread a little holiday cheer around Centre Hall! We visited many of the homes in our neighborhood, only sing off key a little bit! And then it was back to the church for some home baked cookies and the best hot chocolate in Pennsylvania! Thanks to everyone who came out...let's do it again next year!
Christmas Banquet and Pageant
We had an amazing turnout for our annual Christmas Banquet this year! Over 120 people, and so much delicious food! What a great time of fellowship with our wonderful church family. After dinner, we moved into the sanctuary, where the youth and children told the Christmas story. We have some very talented young people here at Trinity. Then, to finish the evening, we had a surprise visit from St. Nick, himself. What a wonderful way to kick off the Christmas season!

Guatemala 2016!
Check back frequently for updates! On Saturday, July 9th we left Centre Hall at 4:30am and traveled to Dulles International Airport in Virginia. From there, the team of Toni and Alex Witherite and Jane Pifer began their adventure to the Highlands Region of Guatemala. Here are some of the first pictures from their first night in Antigua and the next day's trip to Lake Atitlan. Mission work began in earnest on Monday with the team traveling to some of the remote villages of the Mayan people to build block stoves out of cinder blocks and bricks. More to come!

Celebration of Christian Home and Family
In honor of Mother's Day, we celebrated Christian Home and Family, with a fellowship breakfast before worship, special music during worship, and the following video incorporating pictures of our Trinity UCC families. Pastor Dave reminded us all that God needs to be the Foundation of our homes, not just one aspect to be included.
